This project focuses on creating a user-friendly administrator interface for 'Form Flow,' a software system that helps organizations manage and distribute forms and data submissions. As a UX UI Designer, my main challenge is to develop an access control system that lets administrators define and manage permissions for various user roles. Currently in the initial design phase, future iterations will explore user flows and interactive prototypes.
My responsibilities for this project include:
Conducting preliminary research to understand core administrative needs for access management.
Defining the information architecture for roles, forms, and permission structures.
Designing low-fidelity UI mockups for the administrator dashboard and permission management screens.
Considering usability and scalability aspects for a growing organization.
Learnings (So far):
Even in its early stages, this project has reinforced several key design learnings:
The criticality of a robust information architecture for complex systems like access control.
The ongoing challenge of balancing granular control with an intuitive and non-overwhelming user interface.
The importance of designing for scalability from the outset, anticipating growth in users, roles, and forms.
